Colour Inspiration (Mint) – With a Hint of Gold

Everyday Pebblefish publishes an inspiration board for the Pantone Colour Of The Day……yep that is an actual thing. Go on, check it out for yourself here.

Sometimes the colours are a joy, sometimes not so great, others simply inexplicable. We don’t get to choose them, however we do accept the challenge.

We try to make the content on these boards truly different, whether it be by event type, décor, food, fashion, flowers, lighting, venue……you get the picture.

However our main inspiration in putting these boards together, is to inspire you.

We publish on our social media channels every day, so please follow, like, get in touch and let us know what you think.

Full disclosure……I love this board.

Yes, I also love today’s colour of the day, Surf, but there is more about this board that I can’t get enough of.

Quick, take a look.

Finished?

Spoiler alert, there’s a lot of gold in this board.

Go on, take another look, you’ll see it. All of it.

Gold right? Everywhere. However, the overall feel of this board still prioritises the pantone colour Surf.

Accent colours are so often the unsung heroes of an event colour palette.

Their job maybe isn’t to come into your event singing and dancing, but without them the event would have no harmony, no melody, no definition.

Look at the board again, now you can’t not see the gold.

This is such a simple palette, but despite the colours mixing, it’s not contrived, it just works. It’s enough.

Imagine if someone had put a white linen table cloth on that table…..how much of the effect would we lose.

Question every decision. And just because something is available, you really don’t have to use it.

Simplicity is under-rated. and sometimes enough really is enough.

Enjoy.
